You will walk back in time when you enter our wonderful agricultural museum. See how farm life was in Grandma and Grandpa’s day. You’ll be greeted by a real cast of characters! Our demonstrators will share skills such as spinning wool into yarn, hand quilting, needle felting, wood carving and more. Try a sample of our fresh churned butter. Play a good old fashioned game of checkers. Talk with the beekeeper and see his thousands of bees. Watch as horse and oxen teams are used to work the land with equipment from days past (in our livestock area). Stroll by our beautiful herb garden or get weighed on the farm scales! Check in with the blacksmith shop as they forge steel into horseshoes, perhaps. The Maine Antique Engine Club will be joining us with a wonderful presentation or early engines used to power Maine farms. Whatever the age, there’s always fun at the Oxford County Fair Museum. Join us for a busy day of farm life and “living history”.
